More On Building Wealth

Stuart E. Lucas thee author of" Wealth" admits to a bias towards a multigenerational approach to building wealth. You will find that Lucas advocates taking advantage of what he calls "Nepotistic Advantage". Lucas points out how an individual family or investor may do better by pooling money.

Lucas has an approach that is totaly fitting with The Good Sons Club Principles. The author is excellent in describing how we can do a better job of choosing and managing our professional advisors. You will find the book is a better read than most financial management books. The drama and history of the authors own family makes for a good story. A humorous glossary also helps make this a good read.

Are We Prepared For The Care Giver Role?

Thoughtful and clear headed preparation always minimizes stress. Prevention and preparation work hand in hand. Sometimes we can prevent things from being worse. At other time we can prepare for the worst. Always we can embrace the way things are as an opportunity for growth.

Whenever I am in the midst of a health care crisis, I recall my grandmother. The lady was such a skilled care giver and a strong person. The fact is she grew strong as a result of trials by fire. A husband who had a lifelong battle with illness and seven children. All her children experienced illness and one that died of a childhood ailment. Extended family relied on her skills as did neighbors and friends. My grandmother was also skilled at preventing illness and was quick to make sure a small matter did not become a big one. It was with a combination of prevention and preparation.

Today we have many more tool;s to practice the art of care giver. Both prevention and preparation are easier then when our grandparents.

The following are items or publications that help with preparation and prevention:
